Our Story
Good Food, Guided by Quality
Founded in 1958 as kosher confectioners, Rumpler’s pioneered the production of high-quality kosher confectionery, using methods previously unheard of in the kosher market. From the beginning, Rumpler’s set out to raise the standards of kosher food in the UK.
By 1995, the company experienced rapid expansion, evolving from a niche confectioner to a leading manufacturer of kosher products across nearly every category. Today, our range includes everything from frozen foods and fresh goods to household staples such as fruit purées, premium olive oils, canned products, and more.
In 2025, we released Volume 1 of our Good Food Guide. The guide is designed to educate and inform consumers, helping you make better choices for yourself and for the people you love.

The Quest for a Better Crunch
There is nothing worse than biting into a pickle and getting a soggy texture and metallic aftertaste instead of a satisfying crunch. Even something as simple as pickles can come with challenges, especially from a kashrut standpoint. This often leaves the kosher consumer relying on cheaper brands that are improperly packed and shipped hundreds of miles, losing their flavor and, most importantly, their crunch.
Rumpler’s Pickles, like all Rumpler’s products, are produced in smaller batches using traditional methods and glass jar packaging. All Fruit, No Filler
From baby food to quick desserts, puréed fruit is a much-loved household favorite. And while there’s no shortage of high-quality international brands, the Mehadrin kosher market often feels underserved. Too many products contain added sugar or unnecessary blends.
Rumpler’s Fruit Range contains just one ingredient: fruit. Produced in Italy to incredibly high standards, Rumpler’s poured fruit is the go-to choice for health-conscious families, especially mums who care about what goes into every spoonful.
6,700 Nautical Miles in Quest of Goodness
From sandwiches to casseroles to salads, canned tuna is a staple in kitchens around the world. But for too long, the kosher market lacked real quality at a price families could afford.
In 2005, King of the Ocean became that brand. Sourced mainly from seas near Vietnam, it offers truly high-quality tuna with an affordable price tag.
While it’s common in the industry to use trimmings, King of the Ocean avoids them entirely and uses only pure tuna flesh.
The result is a tuna that’s both family-friendly and premium, the kind of quality you’d expect in a specialty aisle, now made for everyday meals.
The Enduring Taste of Nostalgia
Although we are now one of the leading manufacturers of kosher food in the UK and Europe, we are still confectioners at heart. From soft chews to jellies to classic sweets, all of our products are made in Europe and held to the highest standards of quality.
But our absolute favourites are our classic boiled sweets.
In 2016, we brought back our original boiled sweets. Still sold in traditional metal tins, they are available in both standard and sugar-free versions. These sweets bring back the taste of tradition with the flavours of today.
